Will teaching offer me a good lifestyle?

I am looking at training to teach French and Spanish at high school (KS3 + KS4) level after I finish my degree. This has always been something that has appealed to me and after getting loads of classroom experience, I also feel I could make a positive difference.

However, I was wondering, would this career give me a good lifestyle aswell?

I think it depends on what type of school district you teach in for the good lifestyle. Regardless of where you teach you will make a positive difference so with that said are you more concerned about the money or making a difference. That is the question you should ask.

If by a good lifestyle, you mean being surrounded by educated colleagues, getting holidays off, and relatively low stress, yes. If you mean a high salary, then no. Teachers generally make relatively little money.
 
Just live within your means and strive to make a positive difference.
Balance work and personal life.
