Will t-mobile wave my cancellation fee? how do i go about it?

I had problems a few days ago where my texting wasnt working, i called t-mobile and they told me one of the towers were down and an engineer was fixing it and it should only take about 2 hours. welll it actually took about 2 days, i am pretty upset about it and would really like to switch to sprint. how would i go about that? i know it is 200 to cancel my contract, i am under my mom and dads name although i shouldnt be but ive been under it for years. my phone was the only one without the text working. is there a possibility they would wave my fee?
thank you, but no i am positive, i called & also it was only my family that had theirs working. i had friends though complaining about the same situation. i appreciate it though.
