Will someone please tell me about the fifth estate (as opposed to fourth estate)

of news reporting? I mean, are news journalists morally responsible for providing objective and only objective news? Is that even possible? I am confused because I feel like I don't know much about news reporting. Maybe suggesting some links would also help.
