will Sims 2 affect my laptops performance?

I have a macbook pro laptop and i wanted to download sims 2 on it.. will it affect my laptop???
will it make my mac slower or anything???
plz let me know cuz i duno if i should download it or not
 
A program installed but not running will not effect your system performance.Hard disk space being occupied will only effect your performance if it's almost full and that will only effect it by %1-2.

So you can install any game without worry of effecting your performance.
 
Why would a game affect the computer's performance. What made her to think like that? No a game will not affect the computers performance.
