Will seeing a counselor screw up my enlistment in the military?

Ok I recently enlisted in the air force but I'm not "in" yet, I'm in the delayed entry program. I know there were tons of questions about mental health in all that paperwork I read, but I KNOW at some point I'll need to see a therapist about my social/childhood issues that eat at me I'm desperate to clear them up, question is it's not anything that will affect my job duties etc. in any way, will the air force have a problem with it?

Everything I have eard from recruiters is that any psychiatric help, other than when you were a young child (ex. court ordered counseling for a divorce), pretty much screws you. Especially if you do it while you are in the DEP. I would strongly reccomend against it, unless you have to, in which case, say goodbye to your military career.
