Will Sandra Bullock win an Oscar?

I like her. I hope she does win an Oscar, so many have gone before her and won on sympathy votes or bad calls. At she is a decent actress who gives good performances. I hope she does get it. I also hope The Blind Side is at least released on DVD over here, seeing as we aren't going to be getting a cinema release.

Not straight to Dvd in America though.

It's the highest grossing film led by an A List Actress ever...

I really hope she does it. The other actresses will have plenty of chances - 2009 was definitely her year and I hope she does it.

I love nearly every film she has been in - well worthy of an Oscar if Halle Berry can win one!

I've not seen the film, so I'm not going to judge her performance in it via the box office takings. However, she does have a good chance this year as there is a complete dearth of competition in the field.

I think the nomiations will be Merly Streep (Julie & Julia), Carey Mulligan (An Education), Gabourey Sidibe (Precious) and Saoirse Ronan (The Lovely Bones), with the last place a toss up between Penelope Cruz (Broken Embraces) and Sandra.

There isn't really any front-runner, so if she was ever going to win an Oscar, this is probably her best chance.

I've seen The Blind Side and it was a good performance, certainly better than Meryl Streep. Carey Mulligan's was good.

The Blind Side is also a great heart warming movie and better than Julie and Julia, An Education, more accessible than Precious. Sandra may get it because all the other films will get awarRAB in other categories.

Hope Sandra wins an Oscar as I've been in love with her from afar since 1993.

As for Cary Mulligan, being chased around by stone statues in Doctor Who to possible Best Actress Oscar nomination in the space of about two years, is a classy bit of career progression! :D

Sandra Bullock was good in The Blind Side, but it wast a nomination worthy performance

Meryl Streep shouldnt be nominated either, she is my favourite actress but she was rubbish in Julie and Julie and was the first performance from her that i didnt like

One performance that should get a nomination but sadly wont is Katie Jarvis in Fish Tank

Haven't seen the movie so don't know if she was any good. Though she is my favourite actress and i'd love to see her win an oscar.

Haven't seen Sandras performance yet, but am looking forward to it, I think she is a great actress who has been pidgeon holed in a certain type of role.
I am looking forward to seeing what she delivers. :)
Meryl is the one to beat so far for me, her performance in Julie & Julia was spectacular IMO. She literally became this whole other person before our eyes, wonderful.
I am also looking forward to seeing Precious, by all accounts, there're some spectacular performances in that too.
I wonder is it really grim?

Not if she keeps playing the same role in almost every film.

Kookie, tomboyish bookish nerd duckling who saves the day and [ surprise, surprise ] turns out to be a swan.

Turns out she's a Executive Producer in most of these dross fests, so she can't blame anyone else for her choice of films

Do me a favour, I love her to bits and want to marry her [ she's 45 so the age gap won't be a drawback ) but she's no Meryl Streep is she ?

Yes Sandra has played some bad roles, but she's always played some good ones.

Halle Berry didn't deserve her oscar. Gwyneth Paltrow didn't deserve hers either.

Out of everyone this year, I think Sandra does deserve it.
