I'm planning on upgrading to a set of RockShox Argyle 318 forks for my MTB. I was wondering if they would fit onto my current bike without any modifications.

I am currently riding a completely stock 18.5" 2008 Norco Rival with Marzocchi Dirt Jumper 3, 120mm forks on it.

I have 7" Avid BB5 brakes on it.

My bike has Quando hubs and quick releases on it.

I currently have SUNringlé S.O.S. rims but am planning to get SUNringlé '08 MTX 33 rims (probably before I get the forks)

I'm not sure if any of this really makes a difference but I thought I should be specific just in case it did make a difference.

Thanks in advance for your help

You probably have a 1 1/8 headset. You may want to double check, but that is probably what size it is. You need to remove the fork, and measure the steerer tube. Do this by unscrewing the stem from the tube, and just slip it out and measure it. You will need a fork with the same length or longer. If you get one that is longer, you can cut it to the right length. If the fork you are putting on has a different amount of travel from the one you are taking off, it will change your position on your bike. Good Luck.
