Will Robert Langdon become a James Bond Franchise?

i read the the rights to all novels featuring robert langdon have been bought by a movie company, including all future novels.

i also read Dan Brown is working on a new book featuring robert langdon.

could it run and run like the bond films?
 
Read Da Vinci Code and liked it, although i'm told by people that have read all the other 'Langdon' books it's actually the weaker of the stories. I suspect it'll carry on assuming the Da Vinci Code does okay... More run and run like Jack Ryan than Bond for me though. ;)
 
Currently there are only two Robert Langdon books, "Angels and Demons" and the sequel "the Da Vinci Code". A third book, the Solomon Key (I believe) is due out next year (in May sometime).

For the Robert Langdon books to become a franchise I think they would have had to wait a bit longer to make them into movies, AND also made them in the right order (and maybe chosen someone a little bit younger/more suited to the part to play the lead character).
