depends on how much you eat but generally speaking bike riding is an excellent way to lose weight. for example,bike racers are very thin.
if you ride alot you can probably lose from 2 to 5lbs a week.
i was on a diet for 5months last yr. i just lifted weights the first 3months and lost from 0 to 2lbs a week. then when it warmed up i started riding my bike and started losing 3lbs a week. i cut back on lifting weights because the bike riding wore me out.
