Will repatriation to the U.S. land me in Jail?
I'm stranded here in the Philippines and I will have to approach the embassy for a repatriation loan because my family in the US is unable to pay for my return.
I have some unpaid tickets back home and I have heard that those may cause me to go to jail upon arrival... but I want to join the Army when I get back so that I can pay off my debts (including those fines) and I'm also told that jail time will damage my chances in the Army...
I am so fudged here... Can anyone offer any worthwhile advice?

yes they are tickets, but they're very old tickets. its a ticket for an incredibly cracked windshield, lack of registration and expired license plate. thanx for assuming (dan L) that it was a lie.

If you do join the military join the ARMY (Aren't Really Marines Yet) not the Marines.
