Sry wat I said is there twice. Idk y

Im not sure about newspapers and stuff, but I have read books since I was very small and I read a hundred times faster than people who don't read.
Just read, and you will become faster.

if you read the book more, then you will read it faster.

if you read something else, you will read the book slower because then you are NOT reading the book

Reading anything will prepare you for reading longer books with more ease, as long as what you're reading is sufficiently challenging. Picking up Dr. Seuss isn't going to help you read Ayn Rand, but reading things of intermediate difficulty will definitely help.

This question does not sound stupid and it is actually a very good one. I love to read and have almost finished reading all of Meg Cabot's books because she is my favorite author but it is very true that reading a lot will help you become a faster reader and it will also get your vocabulary up. Reading is so misunderstood and so many people think that only losers read. Um well every time you see a street sign or a door that says "PULL" guess what. You are reading. Go have fun with books.
