Wow, awesome..I was in the same boat all throughout high school. My taste was classic soul (Sam Cooke, Temptations, Otis Redding, etc.). Don't worry about what everyone else thinks, if today's music were even decent then there would be something to discuss but it pales in comparison to the actual ARTISTS of yesterday. Continue to be yourself, be proud of your taste in music and people won't mess with you too much about it. I was actually admired by some for it, and when you're out of high school you've got your common sense and convictions in tact.
