Will one 15inch Kicker L7 in a ported box give lowwwww bass ?

if so wat amp would be best to use i have a friend that has 2 alpine type x and they make ur chest hurt when they hit i want bass like that where u can feel it i had 2 15inch rockford t1s in sealed box casue had no room for ported and didnt give lowwww bass my car is a seadn ....any help??
 
I have taken the top place at mutiple sound competitions running one 15 inch L7 with and amp pushing 2000rms.
