Will new screen fix broken Backlight?

My T5's backlight does not work any more (after a bath-tub incident!). Will a replacement LCD screen (hopefully to be had on Ebay etc) fix the problem. Unfortunately there are quite a few T5s for sale as parts only, but the only thing broken is their LCD screen. I assume these are no good to me, and its the LCD I am after?
 
Most likely. If the palm works fine and it's display works fine other than the backlight then it's most likely the screen, i can't see any other fault.
