well, the first thing you need to do is to walking him before he goes to bed or play with him so he feels tired...
Also, if you don't mind put his bed/crate next to your bed for the first days.. Then, put him a little bit more far from your bed until he is outside, then close the door... Also, my baby bulldog used to cry/bark when i left him by himself.. so i put him in his crate and spend 5 minutes with him, then left, then come back, then left, and ignore him while i was in the same room as him.. so at the second day he realizes then when i leave i will be back.. he actually stop barking anc whining.. I ws worry becuase he cried so much than even the police came becuase my neighbors complaint... This things work for me.... Hope it helps.. Ohhh I also put his favorite toy or a bone in his bed, just in case he wakes up...
