If you have a candle lit dinner well that would obviously be like you wanted more than just friends, but if you just say i'm cooking pasta do you want some i'm sure he wont think anything of it, he'll just be happy he wont have to cook himself food haha

because i spend a lot of time cooking pasta and such all the time and i feel like it's rude to not offer him some. will he think something weird of it?

It depends how close ya'll are. If you are asking this question does that mean that you think of him as more than just a friend? I'm curious to know why you would ask this question unless you have feelings for him, or maybe you think that he likes you.
