Will my fish be okay now that she is a loner?

I had 2 sunset platies, one just died, will she be okay by herself for a little while? I don't want to buy another because i don't want that one 2 die too. because i currently have a very small tank, but i'm getting a 10 gallon soon with lots of tetra's, will she be ok till then?
