Will my chevy 383 have more pep if I feed it jet fuel?

I don't know what the fuel is called. I know its blue and its the kind that is put in small aircraft like Cesna. I have access to a pump.... When I use premium instead of regular my cartruck has noticeably more pep, not faster just more go power. Same kind of effect with jet fuel? Its a primitive chevy 350 bored to a 383 with a high rise and carb.
i have heard that the engine will run on it but do not have any details on how it will perform
It runs RICH
the premium doesnt affect its top speed it just makes it quicker.
 
You won't be going anywhere,if you use jet fuel,as it's basically just kerosene.Jet A1 has got oil mixed in it,for some of the older,first,second generation jet engines..Think you mean you want to use
AV GAS.That will certainly make it pick up,it's skirts for sure.It will go faster,with a lot more power &
will get up to speed real quick..Most AV GAS is between 110 octane,to around145 octane.The
average is around the 130 octane mark..Mileage i don't think you will be impressed with though.. Enjoy your flying.. Good luck..
 
higher octane doesn't mean more power. if you have a high compression engine that has problems with detonation and ping then run higher octane fuel to smooth it out.

run a compression test against the factory specs for the engine. If you have higher cylinder compression then you should have, run higher octane fuel.
