Will my cellphone provider charge me if...?

WLAN is a built-in feature of your phone and it's absolutely free. It has nothing to do with the service provider. Your service provider won't even be able to know if you are using WLAN. It can work even without a SIM card. So, don't worry. You can use it with that modem for free.

I have a Nokia 5800 and I used it to browse the internet using my wireless Swisscom DSL modem. Will my celphone provider, Orange, charge me for using my computer modem's wLAN?

I'm not sure. Could you please tell me if it's okay to use my wLAN DSL modem to access the internet through my cellphone?
