i don't wont to put my hands in the tank and contaminate the water, but sometimes i need to get my hands in there. i bought some gloves at a store but they have latex in them. will it kill the fish in my tank? i have no clue. please help

There is nothing on the latex that is harmful to the fish. Your fish will be fine.
But to be on the safe side simply wash the gloves in lukewarm water prior to use to get rid of any germs that might be on them.

Use the gloves only for your fish tank and nothing else.

The latex will hurt your fish more than your hands. Just wash your hands with warm water, hot if you can stand it, but no soap, before you stick your hands in there. Odds are, the oil off of your hands won't contaminate the tank too much, as people hand-feed their fish without gloves, but try to keep your hands out of the tank as much as possible, to avoid disrupting it all the time.
