Will John Madden stay in football on some level? Personally I wish he would...

...become the GM of the Raiders.? They might actually become a championship team again, Al Davis has become a joke, it is really sad for this franchise.
 
Probably not. He's over 70 years old, he just wants to spend time with his family. He had a great career but it's over. He could probably be like one of those guest announcers for Pro Bowls or Super Bowls. Other than that, he's done.
 
He would have to defeat Al Davis in a Texas cage match to become GM of the Raiders.
 
I can only hope and pray that Madden stays in football in some way. Going back to the Raiders as the GM would help, but I don't know if that would be enough. My beloved Raiders need a football guy to run the show, but I don't see Al cutting loose control.
 
Why in the world would he go back to the Raiders? I'm not aware of any great affection that Madden has for Al Davis or the Raiders organization. If Madden really wants to get back into football, there are probably a dozen teams that could offer him a more attractive position, and a chance for much quicker success, then Oakland.
