Will ITV ever admit Daybreak is a disaster?

In news reports I keep reading it says ITV are happy with Daybreaks ratings. Who the hell can they be happy with a show that is a national joke and everyones laughing at? And a show that only pulls in half the ratings of what it's predecessor, GMTV got?
 
Don't watch breakfast tv, never have, never will so don't understand the fuss. A lot of energy being expended about people who are grossly overpaid for reading auto ques & talking bo-llocks in the morning.
 
ITV has spent too much money on this disaster.
The research and ratings departments have made one big mistake although they will never admit and never sack the people that said this project will work
 
Daybreak is a total distaster!

I miss Andrew, Kate, Ben, even Emma (even though she was quite new)...

They were more genuine that Adrian and Christine seem to be..they look so awkward when intererviewing people (Im nervous for them as I feel they are so cringeworthy)...that is way too much emotion for me to be feeling before my morning coffee...

..I siwtched on this morning and smiled! Smiled because it was Kate and Dan Lobb on the sofa...Even though Dan is green, it was a much nicer atmosphere, and Kate is like an old friend...
They tried with Daybreak, but now it is time to admit defeat!!

Such a shame, because I loved Adrian on The Apprentice Your Fired!
 
GMTV didn't get twice as many viewers as Daybreak is getting, certainly not in the last few years. If it did it would be beating Breakfast and wouldn't have been axed.
 
GMTV's ratings were in freefall since Fiona Phillips left and the phone-in scandals.

Plus everyone forgets that it used to get slated daily on RAB even before Fiona left (even though it now seems her era was the high point ratings wise)

When ITV took over the last 25% they didn't own, it's no surprise they made changes. If GMTV was still on air, it'd still be getting slated now. (I could imagine a thread complaining how GMTV focussed on the Wayne Rooney story rather than the Spending Review tommorow)
 
I think they have to start again and decide whether they want a serious news programme and become more like the BBC or a lighthearted fun programme more like Big Breakfast was when it first started. This in between is just not working, the only plus is seeing Kate Garraway covering for Christine and wearing such figure hugging outfits......nice !!:)
 
I am loving it this morning with Kate..I have noticed the adding of massive flowers and the screens moved round so now we don't even see any of the view which seemed to be the whole idea at the beginning
 
Yes two days now where are they I wonder lol.....

I like it with Kate and Dan, they are relaxed and it feels easier with them at the helm.

I think the problem with Adrian and Christine is they look so uncomfortable on that sofa................lol and fidget...
