Will it work to download Flash Player for safari on my iPod touch/ will it cause...

...problems? There's a lot of online things that won't work on my iTouch without Flash Player, and it gives me the option a lot to download it. Would it be ok to do, or do you think it would slow things down because of the memory it requires?
