Will it be easy for me to become proficient in PHP and MYSQL?

I know HTML/XHTML but not familiar with CSS. I know C++ and JAVA but not that pro. I'm new to Mysql and I don't know PHP yet.

Do you think It'll be easy for me to master PHP with mySQL? Do you think it will ot take me long to create real world apps using those two programming language and DBMS?

I'm absolutely like "ignorant" at PHP =/

Please make answers a little bit broad but detailed.
