I just dropped a set of Quart Premium 6 1/2s in my front doors. They're amazing f*ing speakers but now my stock rear deck speakers (15W RMS) just can't match the volume level or put out enough bass.
I was thinking, for a low-cost solution, to drop in a set of Infinity Reference 6X9 three-way speakers in the back. Will that give me a little bit of a thump without suffering too much on sound quality?
Also, I'm running these on a Sony XPlod head unit (don't hate, it came with the car) with 52W X4. Will that provide enough power for my 70W RMS Quarts and 100W RMS Infinitys? I know an amp would be best, but I won't damage them by not amping will I?
Sorry that's so long. Thanks!
