Will I have to cycle the tank all over again?

Right now I have a 45 gallon tank with fish in it. I want to upgrade to a 60 gallon tank. When I buy the new tank I was thinking of just taking everything out of the old tank and putting it in the new tank. So I would take the gravel, ornaments, plants, water, and filters from the old tank and put it all in the new tank. If I do this do I still have to cycle the tank all over again before adding the fish? If so, why? What will I do with my fish while the new tank is cycling?

I have 10 malawi cichlids.
