to know some Japanese? I am an American and am sick and tired of waiting for localizations. I am going to begin importing my games. I have been hesitant in the past due to unsure localization schedules and the fact that my Japanese wasn't nearly as good as it is now.
Well flash forward to today and I'm relatively fluent in Japanese (I can listen to anime and other Japanese programming and understand what they are saying with no difficulty and without subtitles), many of the people that I speak to that are natives of Japan comment that I have great Japanese for an American, and I know all the Hiragana characters So now, I am fully aware that Japanese uses a mixture of Hiragana, Kanji, and Katakana in it's writing, so will I be able to understand the majority some of the text in the JRPGs I am importing? One of them lacks much in the way of voice acting so I a need to know if my basic Hiragana will suffice.
