Will i go to jail if i say i i plead to guilt?

My moms friend had stolen something that was 100$. When she goes to court and says she pleads to guilt, will she go to jail? This is her first time ever stealing and getting caught. So when the judge asks her if she pleads guilt, and she says yes will she go to jail ?
