Will I get paid during Air Force Boot Camp?

Yes you will, and you can ignore the comment about your first check being "nonexistant because you have to pay for your uniforms and things." It is true that there are a couple of things that you have to pay for - specifically, the padlock for your security drawer, the flashlight you have to carry when it's dark outside, and your first haircut, and any other personal toiletry items you need - but your uniforms are issued to you FREE OF CHARGE. Once you get out of Basic Training (and it's not called "boot camp," it's called "basic training" in the Air Force) you'll have to replace your uniforms at your own expense, but you get a Uniform Allowance in your paycheck for that. It doesn't cover nearly half of what it will cost you, but it's better than nothing.

Yep. Your 1st check is almost non existent cause you use that to purchase all of your uniforms and things, but yeah, you get payed.

EDIT: Dude, the guy below me retired in the 80's, times have changed, I was left with $70 my first paycheck paying for uniforms, ask anyone that has retired in this century, they will tell you the same thing. Seriously, lol.

yes, about 400 a check! (depending if you are married and all that) my husband is also military and i was only getting 400. i guess thats because he was getting the bah and they were providing me with a place to live.

You get paid from day one.. What job are you going for? I've been in for a little bit, if you want some pointers....ask
