will i get judged at work if i get a lip piercing?

i want to get a lip peircing when i reach 16 but all my friends and family keep saying that if i do i wont be able to get my dream career on stage if i do as people wont approve of it. will i be okay to get one and still get a job?
 
I would wait until I got a job before getting any piercings honest because your safe in your job then.
 
What stage? It depends. If it's something like Broadway or anything classy- don't get it. Or you can just remove it before performances and rehearsals and stuff. If it's like rock music or whatever I think it would be fine!
 
People judge other people the whole time. Just take it out when ur preforming. And if its ur dream career would you risk a lip pierce to stuff it up for u?
 
You will be judged. A lot of employers will not allow you to have a visible piercing (besides your ears - but even now that could be a consideration if you have one of those giant ear holes).

Right now you want it and it seems cool, but in 5 years you'll likely regret it.
