...considered ''rich''? Well OK my dad has a good job and my mom has a kind of sucky job, and we definitely are not hit by the economic crisis. The college I want to go to, tho, my dad is upset because it costs a lot. He has a feeling we won't get much aid because we're a high-income family. I definitely had my eye on this college for a while so I'll cry if I have to switch. Will we even be able to get anything good? we turned in our FASFA application today.
well after we submitted it, it said 'You appear to be eligible for the following: Low-interest federal student loans.' IDK what that is.

It means you are taking a loan of money to pay for college and will have to pay it back with interest after you graduate or stop going to school. And yes, you most likely won't get a penny of help from government because the money your parents make. I have a widowed mother with a SUPER low income... and they only granted me loans I had to pay back, but with really high interest rates (they said she made too much, yeah, righhht). You're lucky that they are so low right now. Keep trying for other scholarships, like community ones or individual ones from the college you will be attending. If you do some research, there should be a lot available that you can apply for. Good luck with everything!
