Will I be able to use Cricket wireless

Hi,
I read recently that cricket has introduced cheapest call plans.So I thought of signing up. When I checked my coverage map it says full coverage is there but no service activations are allowed. I am talking about 35601 Decatur AL.
When I called them they told,they won't have any issues to activate the phone in 35601 and I will get 256 nuraber there.The billng address should match where I am activating the phone. I am not sure how this works?
I ordered a triband phone .I recently purchased a HTC Eris phone and want to use it on cricket.I have the flash procedures.
Will that work?
Please guide or advise me.

Customer Service misinformed you. You will not be able to activate in that area as it is not a Native Cricket area you are roaming on Sprint there.

You could drive to Nashville and activate a Cricket Phone then drive back but you will only have talk and text, No data.

Your best bet is to go get a Straight Talk phone at Wal-mart if you want Unlimited Talk, Text and Web. The phones are basic Phones but does include a QWERTY phone and it runs on the Verizon Network.
 
No, it doesn't include data.

Since you're not in a Cricket market, you shouldn't get Cricket.

You might be interested in Straight Talk, Page Plus, or another similar provider.
 
I work @ the 800# where you ordered your phone.
While Cricket does have COVERAGE for existing customers in your area, they do not offer SERVICE in your area. The website was exactly right.
Cricket doesn't have any towers in your area so they won't activate the phone for you there.
I'd recommend refusing the package when FedEx comes to deliver it, & you'll be refunded the money within 30 days. (I know it sucks, but that's the easiest way)

The agent who sold that to you broke some MAJOR rules, because we make commision. You just inherited a TON of head/heart ache & he/she added $4-$16 to their paycheck. :disappoin
So, if you could do me a favor and PM me your Order Confirmation Nuraber, I can try and get that retard fired. :doh:
 
:^/ The map is actually less than useful. The legend shows brick red and lavender for different coverage areas, but the map itself shows only the white and pale green that indicates the terrain. Zooming in on my Zip Code shows no coverage for my neigrabroadorhood, but I'm posting from there via Cricket Broadband right now.

Perhaps it's something with Mozilla or Cricket's proxy, but either way I'm not getting the colors to indicate coverage areas.

All I want is my money back.
I can give you my order nuraber ,If you make a promise that you won't complain to higher authorities on this agent.
The worst thing is I called to cancel the order when the phone has not been shipped yet and in processing stage on Sunday.The web support assured the order has been cancelled and it won't be shipped.But yesterday I got a surprise email saying that my order has been shipped.
All I want is my money back including activation and shipping fees.

The closest corporate store location that would be able to activate your phone would be Antioch, TN.

Regarding flashed phones with our network, Cricket Corporate-Owned or full service stores do not flash phones, but if your phone has already been flashed to Cricket we will activate your phone on Cricket?s service.

Since your phone was designed to work on another carrier?s network not all of the Cricket network features may work even though the phone was flashed to Cricket?s network.
