Will I be able to retrieve photos from laptop?

New member
I spilled tea onto my laptop and now its either not loading completely or it says operating system not found. What I would also like to ask is besides photos are there anything else that I may be able to retrieve from my laptop hard drive
 
You now have learned the importance of backing up your files to a external source, we all learn this usually the hard way. You can remove the hard drive install it into a external USB hard drive enclosure or connecting cable and try to open it by connecting it to another PC and then if it opens copy the files.
The below link will show you how to install into a hard drive enclosure, cost around $20.00 or you can pay a computer repair center to try and recovery the files/pictures.

More than likely the data is still on the hard drive. It may require having a new controller board fir the hard drive, but if the water damaged only the motherboard and not the hard drive, you can hook the hard drive up to any computer and take off anything you want.
