She is turning 6 in July...and loves her school here in the UK. The only problem s that her Dad has a job on the other side of the world which looks lie it may continue for another year....he is over there without us at th mo. But we all hate being apart....he wants us t go over for one year....the only school I could send her to there is very bad....their are some social problems in the area and it would be a real shock to her system...she is very shy and quiet....also the curriculum there is almost 2 years behind that of the UK and she would not be learning enough so that when we return she will be behind her classmates.
There is a thriving home school community where we would live....and I think it may be good for my daughter to have the freedom of the local beaches and to learn an English curriculum at home with me. I would buy all of the relevant materials to ensure I did a good job.
My husband is unsure...I think he fears the unusual situation of being home schooled...but I think what the hell? She is only going to be 6 once....and in a hot country and a different culture....why not free her from the classroom for a while?
she has a smller sister who at only 2 years old wont be affected....I also feel that because she will bereturnig to her old familiar school that shemay feel more secure...
