Will GM fail no matter what the government does?

Between the people that won't buy GM because of quality, and the conservatives who won't buy one out of protest who the heck is left to buy these things? I'm betting the Obama supporters are driving Honda and Toyota cars. Even most people that might buy one probably can't afford it. What the heck are we thinking trying to save this company?
I own a 2004 Impala SS and I've had a few quality issues that have cost me a lot. I think GM sucks.
 
Well, Obama didnt save Gm Because of any economic reasons, thats for sure, he did it for political Reasons. The Democrats and Obama gained a lot of Midwestern votes and he wants to keep them by giving a ton of money to Gm and its unions, he just wants to look good to them, he doesnt care about the economy or understand it for that matter.
 
No, we the American people have now bought a money pit for ourselves.

Remember Amtrak, it was only supposed to be government funded for a few years, and every year we still dump money into it.
 
I think they might be Ok now Chrysler that is a different story its not the first time they have been in financial trouble or sold to foreign investors.
 
It was a bad idea to let Imported cars here because they are 10 times better

So? make Gas efficiency cars
Us is or was big on Oil so? Make Not so efficiency cars
Japan is spending baout fixing their cars so? make cars that last longer
US is not because we have/had the money to fix em

What are you talking about? Their quality, especially that of Buick and Cadillac, are just as good, if not better then the foreign pieces of crap. Their prices are not that much higher then the foreign pieces of crap either, for what you get comparatively, GM cars are the better deal. I think you need to do some research and find out the facts my friend. BTW, moderate dem, voted for Obama and will never drive anything other then a big three vehicle.
 
You missed the memo.

GM *is* the government now. They won't fail. They'll just continue to drain billions of dollars to produce a crappy product - just like almost every other government program does
