Will gasoline prices drop a few months before the next election?

Months before the last presidental election the gasoline prices had fallen considerably, only to bounce back after the election.

Do you think the gasoline prices will below 3 dollars a gallon a few months before the next election and stay that low untill after the election?

Yes, traditionally gas prices decline after Septmeber when people are done with summer vacations and demand decreases. ALso, if McCain looks like he is going to win the election, gas prices will go down, as he favors increased drilling for oil. If America commits to increased drilling off the coasts and in Alaska, the artificially high price of oil will decrease. Speculation is responsible for 20-25 percent of the current cost of oil.

Oil prices are controlled by countries like Iran and Venezuela, and the leaders of these countries favor Obama by far.
