Will FrostWire give me a virus on my computer like LimeWire did?

I had to spend $800 to replace my motherboard in my desktop because of LimeWire. I'm just very hesitant because everyone is saying "FrostWire is awesome! Its just like LimeWire!" I just dont want to get a virus or have to replace a second motherboard because of the same reason.

Help?
I have not downloaded yet to save my new laptop I got in September.
