When will any distro of Linux be as easy to use as Windows or Mac OS?
Last I tried it was a year or two ago and you still had to compile shit and hunt down libraries and even with that I still couldn't get any programs to install and run. I've tried Ubuntu, Mandrake, Gentoo, and Red Hat, and couldn't get anywhere with any of them. Every program requires some stupid library that it doesn't come with, arrange files and edit config files and all sorts of nonsense. Is writing an installer THAT hard?
And the only help I can get is "RTFM n00b!" which is fine I guess for people who have no life and can waste hours upon days learning how to assemble some software LEGO kit from hell, but I just can't be bothered.
