for my science fair project im giving betta fish 2 teaspoons of energy drinks to see its effects. will it kill them immediately?

I don't think that's a good idea. It probably won't kill it immediately, but it is cruel.

How could anyone actually allow that project to go on? Animal cruelty.
Fish siphon water through their gills to extract the oxygen. If there is some sort of energy drink, or anything else in the water that isnt water, it will have ill effects on them.
What a horrible project. Pick something else.
