You can't download songs on Limewire anymore because it got sued. I use frostwire which is the exact same thing and it won't slow down your computer.

Hello. So I recently bought a new laptop. My I-pod is right next to me and I really am in need for new better good songs downloaded to my i-pod. I think it is ridiculous to buy songs from I-tunes and such...I know what your thinking..."then why did you get an i-pod in the first place?" but reasons are reasons but hey! At least I'm not lieing. Anyways I'm thinking about downloading Limewire but at the same time I don't. Rumours are it slows down the computer and cause virus. Come on now, I just got a new laptop so please with a legitiment response/answer please please please answer truthfully. I don't know if I have anti-spyware protection or like these special protection for the laptop......no clue. If this helps at all...I am trying to download to my i-pod nano or chromatic, that is very thin and comes in a variety of colors.

DO NOT USE LIMEWIRE! It will give you a virus, I used to use it all of the time and my virus protection went nuts. No doubt it does slow down your computer too.

I would suggest you go to avast.com and get their free anti virus first.
Install and register this as it will be your pal when the virus has found you to be the best food.

Then you should go to Bittorrent.com and download their client. This is kind of like Limewire as it too is p2p, but it uses torrents to access the people on the other side of the p2p.
Install this client.

Go to ThePirateBay.com and type in the name of the band you are looking for in the search bar. Many options will come up look for the one that either says discography or has the album you are looking for in its label.

Click on download .torrent or w/e it is you just want to download the torrent not the 10x direct download link

open the .torrent file with bittorrent and a popup box should appear asking where to put the directory on the top and the different files and or songs in the box below. Click what songs or albums you want wait, and enjoy.

The thing is, Lime Wire will not slow down your laptop, but you can get a virus. It is avoidable by let's say, I search up 'break' and then I should see which songs have been used the most, and those are the ones at the top. Now if you do get a virus, you can just search up house call and download the anti virus, and it will get rid of the virus.

Edit:
I recently found out Lime Wire was sued, and is now illegal. You can use BeeMP3, and the same things apply to BeeMP3.

I believe that limewire have shut down awhile ago. Find a new software like frostwire, mediafire(google the song name with it), 4shared, etc..
