Will dog fighter ever be considered a legitimate sport?

THAT IS SO CRUEL YOU MAKE ME SICK FROM EVEN THINKING OF THAT!!!!! WHAT IF YOU WERE A DOG AND YOUR OWNER PUT YOU IN FRONT OF A VICIOUS DOG AND IT TORE YOU UP AND NEARLY KILLED YOU!!!!!! HOW WOULD YOU FEEL????
 
Hopefully not. It's disgusting & cruel. Anyone who does anything like that should be shot.
 
Where dog fighting is legal it's not "as" brutal as illegal fighting. For instance in Japan it's unusual for the dogs to draw blood and is comparable to a human wrestling match. It's still deplorable in my book.
 
Dog and bull fighting are SICK. There is no sport in watching animals bleed, suffer, and die. You will never see dog fighting become a legal sport and why would you want to?
 
Doubt it...the trend is leaning towards softer people and especially in this country, people who love dogs (and other animals) who have lots of money and muscle. Dog fighting is more fair than bull fighting, those cowards stab the bull multiple times before he even enters the ring. Fighting animals is cowardly anyway...why not fight eachother. I'm a big fan of boxing, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts. Much more fun to see 2 semi-intelligent bipeds go at it than a man and a stupid animal or two dogs.

-edit- Andrew C...dog fighting in Japan is very illegal. That's why Tosa Inu were bred to fight silently, they don't growl or bark while fighting because in Japan breaking the law is no joke.
