Will Congress ever waive the need to pay back $7500 first home credit?

I think it's a little ridiculous that people who bought in 2009 get $8k and pay nothing back while I bought in 2008, got $500 less, and have to pay mine back. Is there any talk of grandfathering the old way into the new?
