Wednesday afternoon a crew was seen setting up the stage outside of the Riverfront Apartments in Levis Square.
"We will have police officers on duty, not only for the parade but for the concert since it's a relatively short parade," Herwat said. "We're not going to have a great number of officers assigned but we will have appropriate personnel in place."
Because there's no overtime, there's no extra money involved.
The same story in Ottawa County for the planned Bowerstock event at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds in the Village of Oak Harbor.
There won't be any taxpayer dollars during her hometown visit in Northwest Ohio mainly because of local business support the cost to attend a performance by an American Idol contestant is free.
******"Bowerstock" will include performances by Elmore Fudd, Legacy II, and Undeserving.
The Ottawa County commissioners and county agricultural society are sponsoring the festivities. A parade will start promptly at 4 p.m. before she takes to the fairgrounds stage.
Event t-shirts and food will be available for cash only with proceeds going to Diabetes Youth Services, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and the Ottawa County Agricultural Society.
