Will Blu-Ray look good on my HD TV?

I just bought a 32 inch HD TV and was wondering how good will a blu-ray disc movie look obviously on a blu-ray player when hooked up via HDMI? it's not "full high definition" by the way it's just standard high definition. The brand name is Soniq althrough the store we bought it from states that the TV was manufactured by LG. I've already tried hooking up my 360 via HDMI and it looked fantastic, will Blu-Ray give me as good results or even better? If so, which player would you recommend under $200?

blu-ray looks amazing -- watch a DVD then watch a blu-ray, even though you TV ain't full HD your'll get some appreciation out of it

Batman Dark Knight is a briliant one to watch on Blu-Ray, the first 25 mins is Filmed in Super IMAX, which really makes the Quality of HD worth while

& instead of getting a Blu-Ray Player, buy a PS3 for a little more & really get something out of it, dunno how much more they are in USA but if you have a spare 200 dollars floating around another 100 or so ain't gonna break the bank, sell the xbox if need be
