well i dont see why it wouldnt work as long as your eating healthy too and not eating more calories than you burn....just dont eat any junk food or grasy fast food and cut back calories if ya need too, otherwise it sounds like a good plan...

I am a 17 year old guy and about six feet tall and about 240 pounds. I am Overweight, obviously, and need some advice.

For the next two months, I will bike 10 miles each day for cardio and probably go to the gym a few times a week for muscle training. Will I be able to either lose about 40 pounds of fat or at least look like an average teenager?

When I was your age, I moved to SoCal and couldn't afford a car. I saved up and bought a nice mtn bike. I went everywhere on that thing! I rode it for all my daily errands, my commute to work and school, and pleasure rides to new neighborhoods. In a couple of months I got pretty bitchin'! lol

I just felt so good. I had been a chubby teenager, but the daily biking helped it drop off and I started to look pretty athletic after a half year. I didn't weigh myself, but I dropped several sizes. I didn't really pay attention to diet, just ate whenever I was hungry--I was a machine. But the biking was my ONLY transportation...I did at least 4-5 miles a day because I had to.

In my mid-20's I had a car and a baby and the bike became parked...the weight crept back on... :(
