What if I bike extremely fast everyday for a month, would I be faster next month? Im 15 and I can do 100m sprint in 13 seconds and something. I want to run faster.

if you wana be better at 100m obviously the best thing to do would be practice 100m sprints.
my advice to you is that biking will make you a better biker running or sprinting willl make you a better sprinter
also try plyometrics they improve performance.

and join a local athletic club.

everyday is not good. u want your muscles to heal before the next intense workout, and yes it HAS to be intense. it needs it burn. moving at a fast pace doesn't mean anything without the burn. try squatting with heavy weights. stronger muscle = higher top speed.

yes alot[oh and trust me my father runs alot of marathons,] because the strengh in your leg muscules.

it truly depends HOW you bike. For example, you biking fast is good but like people have said don't bike every day; try mixing it up. To really build speed for the 100m lift weights. Especially squats and other leg variations. Building muscle will bring you to optimal speed. also just biking isnt the most beneficial thing for improving sprint speed. i could understand if this was for long distance or XC. but for sprinting you just have to do ladders and etc

bicycling is not the best work out for a runner, especially a sprinter. You should try running 200m sprints x 6-8. or, you can try running 100m, then 200m, the 400m, then 200m, then 100m. this will improve your stamina. don't stop in between but walk or jog for about 6-10 minutes. but you shouldn't sprint all in one go. do you regularly sprint or is this your first time? And you should deffinatly NOT run or work out everyday. you need atleast one resting day.

I incorporated bike sprints into my daughter's track workout and it did help build some leg strength and increase speed.

On the other hand, I think 13 seconds is too slow for a 15 year old to be running the 100. Your future sounds like distance. Start running some miles in preparation for the potential that you may be too slow for the sprints. The half mile is a great race. So is the mile.

welll i suggest taking a spinning class!! i just started taking them and they're wicked intense but i love them!!! after just two classes i already feel like my thighs are getting stronger so i think that would be really beneficial to your sprinting
