Thanks. That's what I thought too but wasn't sure. Not sure if it would cover "user negligence" though. Not sure it applies in this case but they may say it was the user that caused the problem rather than a defect in manufacturing.
Worst case, you could problably get it replaced with a refurb. What's that run now, $149 or something? But again, best to call instead of having us guess what they will do, although I guess it doesn't hurt to hear what the potential options are before getting on the phone.
