What does "cured by the government" mean? The government licenses physicians who have to meet certain standards. Physicians provide the treatments.
If you are referring to a government-run health care system, that is not what is currently being proposed. The government option will provide a choice. Universal health care systems in other countries, although quite varied in type, seem to run quite well and the health outcomes are better than ours in that the people live longer.
