With less than one month to go before the November 4th election, the Republicans appear to be fixated on the Ayers / Wright connection to Obama, and are staking their whole campaign on this issue...

But... is this issue actually making anyone decide to NOT vote for Obama on Nov.4th?

Time is slowly ticking by, and two very important things are happening...

1 - The Republicans DON'T have a message which is captivating the electorate, and certainly not the undecided... The undecided are exactly the group the McCain needs to win the election.... but considering that the GOP is now using almost 100% negative ads, coupled with the lack of a clear message from McCain, are any undecided going to move towards McCain on Nov 4th?

2nd... Obama is slowly and consistently growing his lead in the polls, on McCain.. it appears quite probable that by Nov. 4th, even if McCain gets ALL of the currently undecided votes, he still won't win the election..

So.. is the Wright and Ayers issues actually bogging down the Republicans, having them work on a story line which only resonates with the rabid Republican electorate, and is having negligible impact on the undecided, and no impact on the Democrats?

Effectively, by chasing down the dead end Ayers / Wright angle, are the Republicans wasting valuable time, and in essence handing Obama a victory on November 4th?

RANT ALERT

No. Its the ECONOMY. Why do Republicans spend so much time constructed elaborate and unlikely excuses? It the economy.
