So I had my iPod touch 2nd generation (firmware 3.1.2) since pretty much a whole year cause I bought it in March 2009. Anyway, for about 5 ~ 6 months now, my earphone jack has been screwed up. Here's what happens. When I'm using my earphones, my left earphone always mutes and unmutes so kinda like staticy but not quite. I don't know how to explain it but it is really really annoying!
And the reason why I waited 5 ~ 6 months was cause my parents didn't want to waste money on just one side of an ear phone. I have been patient and waited long and now I had enough.
A couple of days ago, my friend told me apple would do it for free because they take technical stuff seriously and they have good customer service. So I just wanted to make sure before I go if they will do it for free and how long it will take them. And if there's any other important things I need to know.
